    Breaking into International Markets


    Expanding into international markets can feel daunting, especially when navigating unfamiliar territories. But with the right expertise, it opens the door to exciting and sustainable growth. At CURACE, we go beyond traditional property advisory—we act as an extension of our clients’ teams, curating spaces that align with brand values and business goals to ensure each expansion is both strategic and seamless.

    A great example of this is our ongoing partnership with Seasalt, the Cornish clothing brand celebrated for its sustainable ethos and recent B-Corporation certification. In 2019, Seasalt opened its first international store in Westport, Ireland—a location carefully selected to reflect the brand’s coastal heritage. From the outset, we conducted extensive research to lay the groundwork for Seasalt’s entry into the Irish market, helping them build a tailored expansion strategy that remained true to their identity.

    Since then, we’ve continued to support Seasalt’s growth across Ireland. In November 2023, they opened a second store in the picturesque market town of Kenmare. CURACE handled site inspections, demographic analysis, and lease negotiations—freeing Seasalt’s team to focus on the construction of the project and retail operations while we worked to get the project over the line in a competitive market.

    Later in 2023, Seasalt launched a third Irish location in Wexford. Our role included engaging with landlords, assessing market rents, and managing final lease negotiations, always balancing occupancy costs with long-term commercial viability. As with every project, our goal was not just to secure a site, but to ensure the space reflected Seasalt’s vision and retail requirements.

    Most recently, Seasalt opened a new store in the centre of Cork in April 2025. Our attention is now turning to future opportunities in Dublin and other key retail destinations. Throughout this journey, we’ve travelled the length of Ireland’s coastline—from north to south—ensuring each new store feels like a natural extension of the brand.

    Our collaboration with Seasalt exemplifies how CURACE works: by crafting a clear growth strategy, managing the complexities of site acquisition, and negotiating leases that support long-term success. We don’t just secure locations—we curate them, ensuring each space reflects the brand’s essence and commercial ambitions.
