CURACE secures new premier location for Everyman cinemas

CURACE Consulting, the real estate consultancy and advisory service for occupiers in the hospitality and leisure sectors, has secured a prime location in Stratford International Quarter for boutique cinema operator, Everyman which is set to open in 2024.

Stratford, a town which once played host to the Olympics in 2012 continues to evolve into becoming a powerhouse of culture, arts, film, education and innovation. Stratford International Quarter (SIQ) is an urban regeneration project which will add new workplaces, new homes, leisure with restaurants looking out onto tree-lined boulevards. With Westfield Stratford shopping centre, coupled with East Bank cultural & educational district, as well as the V&A East, BBC and Sadlers Wells East as neighbours, no wonder the area is fast transforming Stratford as a place to live, work and visit.

As property advisors to Everyman, we are excited to represent the boutique cinema brand in the negotiations for space within the 21-storey Turing Building which is set to complete in 2024. The landmark development is to be carried out by Lendlease, the owners of SIQ, which is recognised as a new innovation district with high tech infrastructure complimented by sustainable credentials of which we know would be perfect for the boutique cinema brand.

Working alongside Everyman’s team, our role in acquiring the site for Everyman started with undertaking extensive research as to the location and its catchment. This enabled us to build a picture as to the viability of the location against the cinema’s ambitions and business model of which this next generation scheme matched perfectly.

We were then able to negotiate and secure the deal progressing into a successful legal completion this year! Our role continues to support the brand, and as an integral member of Everyman’s professional team, we will assist in the procurement of the project right through to the eventual opening, ensuring that our client is fully supported throughout the entire process.

We are continuing to identify prime locations across the United Kingdom for the brand and look forward to announcing more Everyman locations and growing their presence across the UK.
